How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space: The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do: Manufacturing Planning: In conjunction with the Program Planning and Scheduling team, identify when manufacturing plans are forecast to be available and document those plans within the manufacturing planning software tool In conjunction with the Manufacturing Engineering team, confirm the plans are of sufficient detail and maturity to begin the scheduling process Develop manufacturing runs within the manufacturing software tool, based on the data available within the associated manufacturing plan Manufacturing Scheduling: Schedule all manufacturing activities in consideration of required work centres, specific machining requirements, tradesperson skillset requirements and their availability Track progress of all items through the lifecycle of the manufacturing process and help identify / resolve any issues that arise throughout Reschedule manufacturing activities as required where priorities dictate, changes occur and / or issues arise ahead of or during the manufacturing process Provide support to manufacturing operations by communicating priorities to manufacturing employees, working collaboratively to resolve issues as they arise and ensuring the general flow of communication is effective across all teams Priority Management: Working in conjunction with the Program Planning and Scheduling team, manage all manufacturing planning and scheduling activities in consideration of the broader company business priorities. Ensure work of the highest priority is manufactured ahead of lower priority work, including rescheduling work as needed, as those business priorities change Proactively identify where manufacturing conflicts / challenges are forecast to occur, both within programs and across programs – ensure this is communicated as early as possible Attend the ‘Weekly Manufacturing Priorities’ meeting and present the details of upcoming manufacturing conflicts that have been identified – communicate the likely impacts to each affected Program and share the possible solutions to support effective business decision making Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing planning position, ideally in an aerospace / automotive engineering, high complexity, manufacturing environment Understanding of planning related ERP processes and requirements including MRP Demonstrable analytical and creative problem-solving skills Excellent stakeholder engagement, teamwork and communication skills Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Proficient understanding of shop floor production control & MRP systems Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand production processes and constraints How to Apply: Applicants must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident or have an appropriate Australian work visa or work entitlements.
